Is this really for beginners?
Yes — this program is built for first-timers. We start with walk-run intervals, teach pacing and form, and progress safely week by week.
How long is the program?
It’s a full 12 weeks so you can build fitness gradually, stay healthy, and arrive at the finish line confident.
Do you provide the training plans?
Absolutely. We provide all the training plans — every workout, every week — plus recovery and cross-training guidance.
When and where is “class time”?
On-demand each week in the Upward Running App. You’ll get workouts, education, and motivation — then connect with friends or a local RunClub for accountability.
I can already run a 5K or 10K — can I still join?
Yes! We’ll meet you where you are and scale the plan. Invite a few friends and consider leading or joining a local RunClub for community support.
Do I need the Upward Running App?
The app houses your weekly plans, classes, devotionals, and community access — everything in one place so you stay consistent.
How often do I run or walk?
You’ll begin with 3 days per week and gradually build to 4–5 as your long run grows and your base improves.
What if I miss a workout?
No problem — life happens. The plans are flexible and the app makes it easy to pick back up without losing momentum.
What gear do I need to start?
A comfortable pair of running shoes and breathable clothes. We’ll share optional gear tips as you go (socks, hydration, lights, etc.).
Is this program okay for walkers?
Yes! Walkers and walk-runners belong here. The program meets you where you are and celebrates every finish line.
